Last year we had to say goodbye to my Mom.   At the age of 96 it was time for her body and soul to move on to heaven. Three weeks later, my cousin passed away very unexpectedly. My Sister and I spent the last 6 months taking care of their affairs. So wrapped up in paperwork, I wasn’t feeling like I was grieving their loss. Then one day I was thinking about Mom and Joe. One of Mom’s passions was spending time gardening. She grew roses of all colors, pink camellias, cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, and gladiolus. Joe knew Mom loved her flowers, so for every Mom’s Day, Birthday, and holiday he always made sure to send her a bouquet of flowers. She really loved receiving them.  As time passed, she could no longer garden, but she always had Joe’s flowers to enjoy.

“Gardening in Heaven 2023 Summer Collection” is dedicated to both Mom and Joe. Each window was created in memory of them. As I was making the windows, I spent hours thinking of the good times we spent together. Now, Mom is gardening in heaven and Joe is driving fast cars with the radio blasting.
Peace be with you both.
